The Bolt Hole has been converted in 2013 from an outbuilding adjacent to Box Lane Barn. It is situated on the south western edge of Minchinhampton, and is a relatively level ¼ mile walk into the centre of the town where there are shops.
The property has its own level off-road parking area which is lit at night. The parking area is laid with gravel: on one side is The Bolt Hole, and on the other is a walled private garden which is for guests’ use. There are a table and chairs in the garden.
The front door opens into the kitchen/diner which has Karndean wood-effect flooring. This flooring leads through into the adjoining shower room. The kitchen has low and high-level fitted units with a wooden work surface. Facilities include a cooker with overhead extractor fan, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing/drying machine, toaster and kettle.
The dining area has a wooden table and upholstered chairs. There is also a digital radio here, with iDock for an iPhone or iPod.
The shower room has a fully-tiled walk-in shower with overhead and hand-held shower heads, and wall-mounted shampoo/shower gel dispensers. There is a w.c., a surface-mounted basin with cupboards underneath, heated towel rail, wall mirror and shaver point.
There are central-heating radiators in the property: one on the ground floor and two upstairs. The thermostatic control is on the wall in the kitchen.
The stairs up to the first floor are 2’ 6” wide with a half-landing on which is a built-in double cupboard, one side of which is for hanging clothes and the other side contains drawers. There is also an ironing board, iron and hair dryer in one of the cupboards. The stairs have a fitted carpet.
There are linked smoke alarms on the ground and first floors, and a dry powder fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the kitchen.
